OUR MISSION
A cadenza is a part of musical theory in which an improvised solo is inserted into a piece of music, usually during the end of the song. These improvised solos are a chance for the musician to show their talent and skills and to express all their musical abilities. As the song goes on, the soloist tires and can get covered up by the orchestra. However, when the cadenza arrives the only sound in the auditorium is the soloist on the stage. At Cadenza Counseling, PLC it is our mission that everyone deserves to show the audience their best self, but mental illness can cover up our ability to perform to our best potential. Through counseling, one can work through the areas of life that are causing them the most trouble. OUR TEAM
Our team consists of one practitioner, Abigail Amundson, MA, LPCC. Abigail received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, English/Speech from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She obtained her Master’s in Counseling degree from Adler Graduate School in 2019. She has been working as a therapist in a variety of outpatient and intensive outpatient clinics around the West Metro. She has a background working with individual’s struggling with OCD, anxiety, depression, substance use disorder, pervasive personality patterns, and life adjustments. Her previous employers include Northland Counseling, North Star Regional, Reed Behavioral Health, and Christian Heart Counseling. When she isn’t working with clients, Abigail is practicing playing music with ensembles around the west metro as an oboist and handbell player.
